Who We ARE

So often in our lives, we come across something that inspires us to become better, to think differently, to grow in ways that feel so important…a video, a phrase, music, a book…and in the receiving of this inspiration, we are also inspired to share it in the hopes that it shall inspire someone else to these new understandings and becomings.

The funny thing is, that our sharing is not always met with the same enthusiasm we had personally experienced. And we can feel a little deflated about the impact we were sure it could have for them.

And yet, what if that impact was specifically meant for us in the exact moment we experienced it? To grow us in a way that would enhance our own lives deeply. And what if that depth grew forth from us and became an embodiment of that thing which inspired us? That its service to others, in that moment, might have been about how it has grown us personally.

What I’m learning is that, perhaps, the way we truly share these wonderful things we come across is in the way we become from their inspiration. In the way it moves us to become more. In the way it helps us to be in service better. And in the way it helps us to reach deep and meet ourselves. Perhaps that was the motivation behind the inspiration's source to begin with?

What if who we are becoming and how we meet the world is the most important part of what inspired us?  And what if who we are now becoming is what inspires another?

Can you recall a time that your experience of someone or something was so powerful...what if the words, the sounds, the tactile accessories, were the doorway into the actual experience…and the invitation to become from that deep space was what was to be met and carried onward into your own life, and then into another’s? 

What if it’s not so much about what we share, as it is about who we are BECOMING.

What if it’s not so much about force, as it is about FLOW.

What if it’s not so much about demand, as it is about INVITATION.
